Q: What exactly IS a Mompreneur?
A: Well, I suppose it depends who you ask! Our definition of a Mompreneur is “a multi-tasking woman who can balance both the stresses of running a business as an entrepreneur, and the time-consuming duties of motherhood, all at the same time”! We at Ontario Mompreneurs Group try not to discriminate between a Mompreneur who has a bricks-and-mortar business (physical location) versus those that have an online or direct marketing business… we truly feel that any woman who juggles their own business and family at the same time is a mompreneur at heart!
Q: Do I have to be a Mompreneur to be a vendor in a Mompreneur Showcase?
A: While our showcases are intended to expose Mompreneurs specifically to their communities, we do offer many opportunities for business owners of all walks of life to participate in our shows and events… yes, that even includes men!! Your best bet is to get in contact directly with the Licensee for the specific show you are interested in, to see how your business can fit in!
Q: How can I start a Mompreneur group in my community?
A: Just ask! Ontario Mompreneurs Group has exclusive rights to the trademarked word “Mompreneur” for the province of Ontario, which means if you see a “Mompreneur Group” without our little flowerburst logo, it ain’t one of ours and probably hasn’t been organized with much research being done first. Your first step is to email info@ontariomompreneursgroup.com directly to see if your community is being developed already, or if it is available. Then it’s a matter of sending you information and seeing if it’s a good fit for both you and Ontario Mompreneurs Group! Nice and easy!
