Welcome to Milton Mompreneurs!

Milton Mompreneurs is a group of like-minded female entrepreneurs who have decided that they want to have it all and are on a mission to help other women achieve their same goals. Milton Mompreneurs, a branch of Ontario Mompreneurs Group (o/a Mompreneur Showcase Group Inc.), we strive to give business women a platform where they can network with other female entrepreneurs and local businesses, and provide events where they can showcase their talents.

We want to help mompreneurs and business women gain the tools to establish themselves in their local communities as well as online. We will work with you to showcase your business and/or brand through our networks and platforms. Our annual Milton Mompreneurs Showcase is an excellent avenue for women to highlight their talents, while our networking meetings are the perfect way to meet with other entrepreneurs and make important business connections.

Connecting members to other women and businesses in the community
Providing affordable ways for members to promote their businesses
Advocating for members and all mompreneurs within the community
Presenting opportunities to raise awareness and funding for local charitable organizations

Meet the Owner

Ontario Mompreneurs Group founder Maria Locker Maria is the owner of Milton Mompreneurs, as well as the Founder and President of Mompreneur Showcase Group Inc. She earned her BA from The University of Guelph in 2002 with a focus on Languages and International Business, and her B.Ed from Lakehead University in 2004. In 2010, after deciding to leave her teaching career to be home with her two children, Maria discovered that having her own business was the perfect fit for her. She began searching for other business women in her community to connect with; women who were also running their own business while keeping a grasp on family life. Finding these women proved to be more difficult than she thought.

After finally connecting with fellow mompreneurs on a mommy forum over months of online chatter, Maria realized there was a gap in the business world between structured networking groups versus business people like her. It seemed impossible to find an affordable or accessible outlet for women entrepreneurs to not only network, but also to showcase their individual businesses. As a result, Maria decided to organize her own networking group and trade show specifically for Mompreneurs and female entrepreneurs, enabling business women to connect with the community and each other on a more flexible schedule and in a comfortable, professional environment.

Maria’s passion and dedication with Milton Mompreneurs led to the incorporation of Mompreneur Showcase Group Inc. and the development of Licensed Mompreneur Areas throughout Ontario. Through their collective showcases, events and networking initiatives, they have proudly raised over $15,000 in monetary and food donations for local charitable organizations, they have supported over 1,00 Mompreneurs in various communities, and they are proud to be the only organization working exclusively with MOMpreneur Magazine to support women in business.
